LatvianCoast leaflet

Text from the leaflet:

SuPortNet project partners propose to renew the cores of their Baltic seaside communities by initiating sustainable development opportunities in their port areas, revitalisation of coastal urban network by promoting integrated management of coastal zones with potential for boat tourism and links to hinterlands.

Common Latvian Boating Network Development Strategy will open Riga - the capital of Latvia as obviously an outstanding destination port for yachting tourism. The area has generous boating tourism development prospects covering common blue areas with unique spa town Jurmala. In august 2003 the Cutty Sark Tall Ships Race will call in Riga.

Safe and attractive boating network on Latvian coast will obviously open up a new sailing area in the Baltic sea, thus strengthening also international links among different countries all around the Baltic Sea region and even further.

Sustainable development planning principles in the coastal areas should bring to regaining of the generous past of maritime tradition since Golden age of tallships.

SuPortNet Latvia project is looking for new co-operation partners.

Leaflet contains a map of Latvian coast and concise information about all the ports available to yachtsmen.
